It seems you staggered the universities rows with parks on the sides. same thing with fire stations, do max coverage for them with only 4, and do 6 of either police or hospital and place the ones near the edge in the edge (+8 RZ) you will need one more of each per collumn (+3 total) but you'll be able to place 2 more RZ (+1 net x2 x3). Shifting some coverage buildings to the bottom and top rows allows for a few extra RZ (like the 2.5 million layout), specifically you can put heliport, gambling/landmark and hospital in the edges near the services and have a few extra RZ in the middle. Washington monument is better than casinos, you get 18x18 coverage, however it cost twice as many keys at least right now, I am considering the 4/4/6 coverage with 12 univerisities, but I am not 100% sure it will work out because I haven't tested it yet. in other words, you can put the firestation in the perfect location to need only 4 total, but then a university, the police and the hospital all need to be in that same spot. they way i put it is that one has to trade off in between the perfect locations for services, specifically, the firestation/police/hospital. 10 universities need to be placed in rather specific locations and because of that, creative alternatives are needed for fire/police/hospital coveragesīottom line, the problem all melts down to the compound coverages. other solutions with 10 universities were posted by crush632 as a comment on that post. OP solved the problem by doing 12 total universities, which is a possible solution. however, it must be noted that by then there was the 50max problem with the universities which was revised last update. it's good as a starting point, but some revisions need to be made. The 2.5 million population layout has several problems, the major one being the first columns of RZ not being covered by 2 universities and getting only +50% education. Super nice work! it's nice to see people looking at the still open question of the game, "the optimal end game layout" I do believe losing those spots are worth it for more boost. I made it a point to keep those buildings within the residential areas. The other residential spots I lose and that layout gains is by putting boost capable buildings along the outside edges. The biggest differences between the 2.5 layout and mine is I added 2 more universities and 12 parks (roughly losing 12-14 residential spots for more boost all around). I got wrapped up in figuring out where to place everything. It honestly slipped my mind to include it. I will not know personally for some time.Įdit: I do not know the math for the road upgrades. I suspect it will be more than 2.5 million. I do not know what the actual population number is. I included the departments just to include them. Gambling has the lux casinos which has the best coverage. I do not use landmarks or entertainment because both of those specializations and gambling are all under the same 100% population boost. It can be compared to the 2.5 layout because it is where I started from. Welcome to SimCity BuildIt Note: on left there is a 3 wide space plus a vertical road, on right a vertical road road too. I saw a similar layout to mine that I'l write out below - this layout gets you 1.1 mil on barely 1/2 the map. That way I can drop new roads and shuffle the buildings over for the endgame layout, then backfill as desired. I just packed mine tight and left the other 1/2 of the map for my endgame. Rows that accommodate two res units work well. Information, Guides and Announcements for the EA app.
